The night before Christmas

The night before Christmas...
We opened up presents with our cousins...
I got to play 'Santa' and really liked that! Maddy liked to eat all of the wrapping and tags!

Our stockings are hung and food out for the reindeer!

Maddy and I are in matching PJ's! Thanks Barchleigh!

We read "The Night Before Christmas" and then were off to bed!
Happy Christmas Eve everyone!

Maddy is 7 Months Old!

Given that Maddy is 7 months on Christmas eve we thought we would take her monthly picture in the living room next to the tree!

This one is a particularly 'nice' shot of the swollen eye... poor Maddy!

December 23

A busy day indeed.
Building a fort...
Shopping downtown...
A visit to the doctor for Maddy's pink eye
Playing in the crib with my sister... taking apart her toys to see how they work...
All of this excitement is exhausting!
Both kids asleep by 9 p.m. - not bad on the eve prior to Christmas Eve!

Keeping Busy

The count down is on big time at the Milroy house and we are trying to think of ways to keep busy. On Sunday Mom invited Ben over and we decorated gingerbread houses.

Monday Mom and I went for our first ski of the year. It was awesome (we didn't get any pictures though!). There is so much snow up north we felt like we were in the North Pole!

Today is a PJ day at home. I introduced Maddy to Dora this morning.

Still in PJ's this afternoon... I've created a house and loaded MAC up for the holiday. I told Mom that MAC is spoiled because he has so much stuff.

Tomorrow is our annual downtown shopping day for yummy treats from Summerhill market! Mom has some more baking planned for us as well.

Sweet Maddy

Mom has been bad at getting pictures of Maddy lately with all of Dustind's Christmas activites.
Today we had some play time after nap with our blocks.
Maddy weighed in at 16.5 lbs the other day! Based on the pictures below most of this appears to be concentrated in her cheeks- don't you just want to kiss them! Way to go Maddy!!

And What Happened Then?

Well in Whoville they say, that the Grinch's small heart grew three sizes that day!

Dustind did a great job playing the part of a 'who' in the Grinch who stole Christmas today at the Strawberry Patch Christmas Concert! Thanks to Mrs. Berry for all of her GREAT work with the kids to pull off such a great concert.

Our friend Sharron purchased all of the teacher gifts and Dustind was selected to help to give them out. Each teacher received a beautiful arrangement for their Christmas table. A local family in need was provided a Christmas dinner and toys and the school presented a gift certificate to Mastermind for new toys. Mrs. Berry reminded the class that Christmas is also about giving to others so we all felt good about this gift!

Santa even came for a visit to the school and brought us gifts!

Thanks to Nana and GG for coming to watch Dustind in his play. What a lucky boy!

Morning with Santa

Last Saturday we went to the library to see Santa.

When we got there they had all kinds of stations set up to do Christmas activities
I was so excited I wore my Santa hat!

I made a reindeer hat...

Ms. Jane read Christmas stories to Ben and I...

We decorated gingerbread cookies...

And I got to see Santa again!

Welcome to Snowville

Well. It took a while to get here but when it snowed... it really snowed! I thought that I'd try out ice fishing. Not sure why I didn't catch anything though.

While Dad and I were outside playing Mom and Maddy stayed warm by the fire.

The best part about playing out in the cold is coming in and getting covered by a comforter right out of the dryer and eating a gingerbread cookie!
