2 p.m.
Joanna about to run off to her 5th meeting of the day, phone rings, recognize it as a Stouffville number and decides that maybe I should pick up
School: Mrs. Milroy?
Me: Yes
School: We don't want to worry you but we have Dustind with us and the principal is here and something has happened. Dustind has stuck a button up his nose and we can't figure out if it is still in there or not but he is uncomfortable.
Me: Is he o.k.?
School: Yes - the button may have come out but we felt that we should probably call you
Me: O.k. - tell Dustind we love him and that his mommy or daddy will be there soon
3 p.m.
Carl picks up Dustind and brings him to the hospital after mom call's around and can't get Dustind into a doctor
5:45 p.m.
Carl: We are on our way home
Me: Is Dustind o.k.- how did the get the button out?
Carl: He blew it out himself... we didn't even see the doctor
8 p.m.
Dustind: Mom?
Me: Yes Dustind
Dustind: Where is the button - I think that my teacher may want it back
Me: No Dustind - after it has been up your nose all afternoon I don't think that your teacher will want her button back.
Moral of the story: Tell your kids not to put buttons up their nose - no matter how appealing it may be. IF your kids stick a button up their nose then ask them repeatedly to blow their nose - chances are it will come out on its own.
And onto another exciting day in the Milroy house...
