Thanksgiving Weekend

A busy weekend in Haliburton - sun, rain and snow!

We got lots of work done at the waterfront and had plenty of play time as well.

We decorated cupcakes and Dustind!

Checked up on Barkleighs teeth

Ate a lot

Decorated pumpins

Enjoyed the view and time with family and friends.

Maddy just hung out...

Dustind and Carl went up for a plane ride - thanks so much uncle Stu!

Markham Fair

This year Dustind was lucky enough to go to the fair two times. The first with his GG and Papa and cousins and then again on the weekend with Mommy, Daddy and Maddy.

Daddy played a game where a man had to guess his age - the man guessed about 5 years older than Daddy's age. Mom thought that was pretty funny.
Mom and I went on the faris wheel - she wasn't half as scared as she was last year. We were the only ones on it and the man let us go around a few extra times. He even stopped us at the top so that we could get a good view of the fair!
Dad said that the french fries were so good on the first visit he bought us some more on our second visit with Mom. Papa also bought me a candy apple. It took me three days to eat it.
I can't wait to go again next year!

And then there was cereal!

Our first attempt at rice cereal!

Strawberry Patch Crafts

Dustind is having a great time at Strawberry Patch. In addition to the great work he is doing on his letters and reading - he is also bringing home great crafts.

The first was his 'Friendship Brownies'. He measured all of the ingredients himself and we baked them at home. He shared them with Mom, Dad and his friends Ben and Miss Jane.

Today Dustind brought home a beautiful centerpiece for our Thanksgiving table. He is so excited to bring it to the cottage to show Nanna and Papa. On the turkey tail feathers it says "I am thankful for, Mommy, Daddy, My Sister. It may be the nursing hormones... but it brought tears to my eyes!!!
